How Does DAXXIFY® Work?
Neuromodulators work by temporarily blocking signals sent from the nerves to the brain. When this happens, the muscle can no longer contract, which keeps the skin from wrinkling.
For your treatment, a topical anesthesia may be used to minimize any discomfort you feel. Dr. Persky will inject DAXXIFY® directly into the troublesome muscle(s). Once the injections are finished, your treatment session is complete. The entire process generally takes less than 10 minutes.
Unlike other neuromodulators, DAXXIFY® is revolutionary because it uses a peptide instead of human serum albumin as a stabilizer. This allows DAXXIFY® results to last longer than other neurotoxin injectable treatments.
