What Is EZ-PRF (EZ-Gel), and How Is it Made?
EZ-PRF is a 100% natural, free of additives and chemicals injection treatment that uses your own cells for rejuvenation. Two to four tubes of blood are drawn and then individually processed. They are centrifuged and then placed in either a warmer or cooler. After about 10 minutes, the warmed tube of centrifuged blood thickens and forms the blood protein Albumin. The cooled centrifuged tube of blood contains platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). PRF contains growth factors, stem cells, and white blood cells that are essential for the rejuvenation process.
What to Expect on the Day of Your EZ-PRF (EZ-Gel) Treatment
We ask that our patients be well hydrated to make drawing the tubes of blood easier. It takes about 20 minutes to process the tubes. Quick-acting topical anesthetic numbing cream is applied. After 15 minutes, the area to be treated is cleansed, and EZ-PRF (EZ-Gel) is then injected with a cannula.
What to Expect After Treatment
As with any injections, there can be some swelling and bruising that usually resolves within a day or two. Patients may resume normal activities 24 hours after their treatment. Minimal soreness may be treated with Tylenol if needed. It takes about 6 to 8 weeks for the maximum effects to be seen. For optimal results, patients should repeat the EZ-GEL treatment 6 to 8 weeks after their first treatment and then have maintenance treatment once a year thereafter. Best of all, the results are natural, no one will know that you have had anything done, they’ll just wonder why you look so rested, youthful, and healthy!
