Silhouette InstaLift™ is a minimally invasive solution available to men and women who are interested in refreshing their facial appearance without surgery. The Consultation
During your consultation, Dr. Persky will evaluate your facial skin and anatomy. He will discuss your goals and go over a list of options for achieving your desired outcome. Dr. Persky will help you decide if Silhouette InstaLift™ will correct your problem areas or if you are better suited for a surgical procedure such as facelift surgery.
Procedure
The Silhouette InstaLift™ is a simple procedure used to recontour the face by lifting the deeper layers of the facial skin. It is a 30-minute procedure performed in-office. During the procedure, small local anesthetic blebs are used to numb the treatment area. As an experienced, expert facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Persky knows the proper anatomical plane to insert the sutures most comfortably and effectively to assure your best natural result. The Silhouette InstaLift™ sutures are bi-directional cones made from glycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), a biomedical copolymer that is generally well-tolerated by the body. The sutures are implanted into the midface and cheek. The sutures will be used to reposition and tighten the structures of the face by providing a mechanical fixation of the tissue that will absorb into the body and begin to stimulate natural collagen production. As the suture and cones are absorbed, they add needed volume to the cheeks. On average, approximately three sutures are used for each side of the face. For every three sutures that dissolve, the equivalence of one vial of Sculptra® Aesthetic volume is added to the face. Over time, the biological fixation induced by the sutures helps to increase volume and restore shapeliness to the face.
